Based in Cape Town, South Africa, my practice moves between woodwork, metalwork, animation, and other mixed media. As a transgender artist, I use sculpture and video to speak about the relationships between gender, social expectations, and family dynamics.

I find joy in experimentation, seeing how clay, varnish, paint and wax flow into and resist each other – seeking new ways of sculpting and realising forms. The majority of the material I work with is found, discarded, or an object of significance that is then altered. By transforming objects, I find new ways of expressing gendered experiences and stories.
